Prometheus Ceph Daemon metrics exporter

Ceph Manager Preparation: ceph mgr module enable prometheus

Docker Preparation: docker run --rm --net host alpine ip -o addr show docker_gwbridge

Docker Swarm: Create an overlay network:

docker network create
--driver overlay
monitor-net Create ceph-exporter global service (replace 172.18.0.1 with your docker_gwbridge address):

docker service create -d
--mode global
--name ceph-exporter
--network monitor-net
-e IN="172.18.0.1:9283"
-e OUT="9283"

scrape_configs:

• job_name: 'ceph-exporter' dns_sd_configs:
  • names:
    • 'tasks.ceph-exporter' type: 'A' port: 9283 Run Prometheus on the same overlay network the ceph-exporter is using.
