⁠CheckMK Docker Images for ARM64 targets

This repo is used to build docker images for CheckMK Raw, targeting ARM64 (Pi 4) architectures. These images are UNOFFICIAL.

WARNING: These images are UNOFFICIAL! NOT RECOMMENDED for production use unless you know what you're doing! By using these images you understand and agree that you do so at YOUR OWN RISK.

Images are generated at most once a day, automatically, at around 10-11 AM UTC.

⁠Getting started

You can pull the images generated by this repository from Docker Hub⁠.

To pull the latest image, use docker pull jackthecat/checkmk-raw-arm:latest.

⁠Environment Variables

The docker image provided by this repository provides the following environment variables for configuration:

⁠CMK_SITE_ID [ Default: "cmk_arm" ]

If you have multiple CheckMK instances on the same machine, you must set each instance to have a unique site ID. See Section 2.3 Setting your own site ID⁠ for more information.

⁠CMK_LIVESTATUS_TCP [ Default: <empty> ]

The Livestatus interface is used to communicate between containers/sites in a distributed envrionment. Set this value to "on" to enable Livestatus and expose port 6557. See Section 2.5 Access to Livestatus via TCP⁠ for more information.

⁠CMK_PASSWORD [ Default: <empty> ]

If this variable is left empty, a random password will be generated for the default admin user cmkadmin. You can choose to specify a password manually by setting this variable to the password you want to use.

⁠MAIL_RELAY_HOST [ Default: <empty> ]

Specify the FQDN of the mail relay server you want to use for this instance of CheckMK to use. See Section 2.4 Sending notifications⁠ for more information.

⁠Ports & Volumes

You may want to expose container port 5000 (for the web interface) and optionally port 6557 if you intend to use Livestatus⁠.

The image uses a persistent volume for storing site data, the mount point in the container for this is /omd/sites. You may also want to mount /etc/localtime as a read-only file, to share the host's time zone with the container.
