Docker version of ACE tools.

⁠How to run

Since ACE tools is an X11 program, the container must be run with some extra flags for configurating the display and other environment variables.

Before launching the docker image, it is needed to add docker to xhost:

xhost + local:docker # needed to make x11 work with docker

Then the image can be launched with the following command:

docker run -it --rm --net=host -u $(id -u):$(id -g) -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -e DISPLAY=$DISPLAY -h $HOSTNAME -v $HOME/.Xauthority:/home/ace/.Xauthority -v `pwd`:/mnt jamal919/ace

Inside the prompt workdir /mnt, the local files will become available. The following command can be used to view the hgrid file:

xmgredit5 -belel -1.e-10 hgrid.gr3 # -belel -1.e-10 to increase the precision
