⁠Micmac in docker

MicMac is a free open-source (Cecill-B licence https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CeCILL⁠) photogrammetric suite that can be used in a variety of 3D reconstruction scenarios. This is a docker container with the latest installation of micmac built from the git repository at https://github.com/micmacIGN/micmac.git⁠.

⁠How to run

⁠Windows

⁠Mac

• If only non-gui commands are needed simply running the docker will work (remember to cd into your project directory). Read the rest for getting GUI to work.

docker run --rm -it -v `pwd`:/mnt jamal919/micmac

• Install XQuartz from https://www.xquartz.org/⁠ for having an xserver. Restart OS.
• In XQuartz: Check the option: XQuartz -> Preferences -> Security -> "Allow connections from network clients"
• Run in terminal for initializing the display (do not close the terminal):

IP=$(ifconfig en0 | grep inet | awk '$1=="inet" {print $2}')
xhost +

• To run the docker image, first cd into the project directory, then run -

docker run --rm -it -v `pwd`:/mnt -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -e DISPLAY=$IP:0 jamal919/micmac
