This project provides a secure and efficient way to generate temporary or ephemeral links that automatically expire after a specified period of time or after a single use. Ephemeral links are useful for sharing resources such as files, documents, or URLs for a limited duration while maintaining control over access.

⁠Key Features:

Generate temporary links that expire Automatically expire links after a single use or after 24 hours. Securely share resources without the risk of permanent exposure within the local network (no cloud services or third party involved) Easily integrate ephemeral link generation into your applications or workflows.

⁠Usage Example:

docker run -d  -p 3000:3000 jatm80/expiring-links:0.2.0

Note: It requires Redis image running, define REDIS_URL as redis://:@localhost:6379/1

⁠Other Environment variables:

  • REDIS_URL: defaults to redis://:@localhost:6379/1
  • BASE_URL: defaults to http://localhost:3000
  • PORT: defaults to 3000
