GiN (Galaxy in notebooks) is an open-source, standard JupyterLab extension implemented based on Python, JavaScript, and Node.js modules. GiN leverages the capabilities of the Galaxy API and JupyterLab’s graphical widget interface to combine these two popular platforms, allowing researchers to intermix common (Python, R, shell, etc.) programming languages and provides access to Galaxy (https://galaxyproject.org⁠) instances (e.g. https://usegalaxy.org⁠) from JupyterLab via user-friendly widgets.
