jboillot/savapage repository overview

Run the container

Using docker-compose

Get the docker-compose.yml file here https://github.com/jboillot/savapage/blob/main/docker-compose.yml and run docker-compose run -p 8632:8632 -p 8631:8631 --rm savapage.

Otherwise

First create the network so the container gets a static ip: docker network create --subnet=192.168.200.0/24 savapage_net, then run the container: docker run -it --name savapage --net savapage_net --ip 192.168.200.10 --rm -p 8632:8632 -p 8631:8631 jboillot/savapage.

Setup CUPS using the web interface

  • Run this command in the container's shell to make CUPS' web interface accessible from your computer: cupsctl --remote-any,
  • define the password of the user savapage to get access to the admin interface: passwd savapage (it will be valid only until the container restarts),
  • navigate to https://192.168.200.10:631/ to configure CUPS,
  • finally, stop the edition mode by using cupsctl --no-remote-any.

Setup savapage

Navigate to https://localhost:8632/admin/, the default account credentials are admin:admin.
