jcometki/minio repository overview

MinIO Historical Image Archive

An unofficial archive of historical MinIO container images, published on Docker Hub as jcometki/minio.

GitHub repository and documentation: jcometki/minio-archive.

The archive supports recovery of existing environments, reproducible deployments, compatibility testing, and software preservation.

Unofficial archive: This project is independently maintained and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by MinIO. Historical images are provided as-is, without security updates or a warranty of suitability.

Available images

All tags below belong to docker.io/jcometki/minio.

April 22, 2025RELEASE.2025-04-22T22-12-26Z-multiarchlinux/amd64, linux/arm64, linux/ppc64le
September 7, 2025RELEASE.2025-09-07T16-13-09Z-multiarchlinux/amd64, linux/arm64, linux/ppc64le

The April tag without -multiarch points directly to the amd64 image manifest. Each -multiarch tag points to a manifest list, allowing Docker to select the image for a supported host platform.

Pull an image

April 2025, amd64 only:

docker pull --platform linux/amd64 \
  jcometki/minio:RELEASE.2025-04-22T22-12-26Z

April 2025, automatic platform selection:

docker pull jcometki/minio:RELEASE.2025-04-22T22-12-26Z-multiarch

September 2025, automatic platform selection:

docker pull jcometki/minio:RELEASE.2025-09-07T16-13-09Z-multiarch

For reproducible deployments, pin the image by digest. Tags can change; a digest identifies specific content. Pinning a multi-platform digest retains automatic platform selection:

docker pull \
  jcometki/minio@sha256:a1ea29fa28355559ef137d71fc570e508a214ec84ff8083e39bc5428980b015e

docker pull \

The same jcometki/minio@sha256:… reference can be used in Docker Compose or a Kubernetes container's image field.

Recorded digests

Registry metadata was checked with Docker Buildx on October 20, 2026.

The top-level digests below identify the multi-platform manifest lists (also commonly called image indexes). They are different from the child manifest digest for an individual platform and from a local Docker image ID.

Verify with Docker Buildx

Use Docker with the Buildx plugin installed and network access to Docker Hub. These commands inspect registry metadata without running a container.

docker buildx imagetools inspect \
  jcometki/minio:RELEASE.2025-04-22T22-12-26Z-multiarch

docker buildx imagetools inspect \
  jcometki/minio:RELEASE.2025-09-07T16-13-09Z-multiarch

Compare the top-level Digest with the recorded multi-platform digest. Under Manifests, check the three platforms and their child digests against the tables above.

For an automated check of all three published tags, run this script in a POSIX-compatible shell. It exits with a nonzero status if a lookup fails or a digest differs:

set -eu

verify_digest() {
  actual_digest="$(docker buildx imagetools inspect "$1" --format '{{.Manifest.Digest}}')"
  if [ "$actual_digest" != "$2" ]; then
    printf 'Digest mismatch for %s\nExpected: %s\nReceived: %s\n' \
      "$1" "$2" "$actual_digest" >&2
    return 1
  fi
  printf 'Verified: %s\n' "$1"
}

A matching digest confirms that the registry reference resolves to the recorded manifest content. It does not establish publisher authenticity, prove a reproducible build from source, certify runtime behavior, or guarantee the absence of vulnerabilities.

Upstream source code and license

MinIO is an S3-compatible object storage server. The upstream project and source code for the referenced releases are available in minio/minio:

ReleaseSource codeRelease notesLicense

September 7, 2025Source treeRelease notesAGPLv3

The MinIO server in these releases is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPLv3). Mirroring the images does not change that license or transfer ownership of the software.

Use, modification, and redistribution remain subject to the applicable license terms, including corresponding-source obligations. Preserve copyright and license notices. Other components bundled in the container images may have their own licenses. The source links above identify upstream release materials; they are not a claim that linking to a source tree alone fulfills every redistribution obligation.

Security and maintenance

These are historical releases. This archive does not provide vulnerability remediation, security patches, automatic updates, or official MinIO support.

  • Historical images may contain known or undiscovered vulnerabilities, including in bundled dependencies and base images.
  • Verify digests and scan the selected image as part of your own security review. Digest verification is an integrity check, not a security audit.
  • Review the upstream security advisories and assess suitability before deployment.
  • Use strong credentials, restrict network access, and maintain tested backups when operating an existing deployment.

Images and documentation are provided as-is, without warranties of security, availability, compatibility, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Trademark and affiliation notice

MinIO and related names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. The MinIO name is used only to identify the software documented by this archive.

This project is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially maintained by MinIO or its trademark owners.

Documentation and corrections

For project documentation, verification instructions, and corrections, visit jcometki/minio-archive on GitHub.

To report an incorrect tag, digest, platform, or broken source link, open an issue with the affected image reference and the relevant docker buildx imagetools inspect output.

Include only public registry metadata. Do not include credentials, access tokens, or sensitive deployment details.
