⁠Overview

A multi-stage Docker image that clones, compiles, and serves the Vprofile Java web application. The build stage uses Maven to compile the source into a WAR file; the runtime stage deploys it on Tomcat 10 with JDK 21.

⁠Build Stages

Stage 1 — Build

• Clones hkhcoder/vprofile-project (containers branch)
• Runs mvn install to produce vprofile-v2.war

Stage 2 — Runtime

• Cleans default Tomcat webapps
• Deploys WAR as ROOT.war (served at /)

docker run -d \
  -p 8080:8080 \
  jemdevops/vprofileapp

Requires the following services to be reachable:

• MySQL — vprodb:3306
• Memcached — vprocache01:11211
• RabbitMQ — vpromq01:5672
