jgasher/graphite repository overview

This Graphite image has customized retention periods appropriate for receiving data from NetApp OnCommand Performance Manager and Harvest and is meant to used in conjunction with the jgasher/grafana image. This image uses the hopsoft/graphite-statsd image as the base image. TCP port 80 in the image should be associated with a different host port because it is assumed that the jgasher/grafana container will be using TCP/80 on the host already. NetApp commonly uses either TCP/8080 or TCP/81 for the Graphite interface.

Another common option is to use a directory outside of the container for Whisper storage. Simply create /opt/graphite/storage/whisper on the docker host and mount that directory from inside the container.
