This container runs the GHGF model. In order to run the container, two directories need to be mounted in as volumes from the local host machine into the running container at the following paths

• /GHG/data: A data directory containing all the data needed for the run
• /GHG/run: An empty run directory that will hold the model outputs

The data directory includes subdirectories for inputs like Fluxes, GEOS, MERRA2, Obs, as well as a Restart directory containing the Restart file corresponding to the start date of the run.

The container will run all 3 4DVar stages (FWD, ADJ, OPT) of the model and automatically populate your run directory with the run scripts used, sim.template input file, and model outputs and log files.

An example run command is:

docker run --rm -v ./ghgf-data:/GHG/data -v ./ghgf-run:/GHG/run jjacob7734/ghgf:1.0.0 20190101 20190107

The --rm flag is optional and ensures that the Docker container is removed from the host machine after the run completes. The two mounted volumes for the data and run directories are specified with the -v flag. The last line is the actual container tag and arguments to indicate the start and end date of the model run.
