⁠Overview

A simple utility to ingest a URL that produces JSON based output and return it in XLSX format.

⁠Build Notes

This is build for the AMD64 and ARM64 architectures to allow for execution on a Raspberry Pi running Docker or K3S

⁠Libraries Used

• Node.js 20.x
• Express 4.21.0
• json2xls 0.1.2 (plus patch file from pull #28)
• object-path 0.11.8
• axios 1.7.7

⁠Notes

A simple online JSON to XLSX converter

⁠API Interface

/json2xls/v1/convertURL - Convert the output of a URL to XLSX data

Required Parameters:

• inputURL - Full URL (including https://) to the JSON API providing data
• fileName - Local file name to return (for example output.xlsx)

Optional Parameters:

• parseField - JSON field name to parse (instead of entire JSON structure). Nested fields may be separated by periods.

⁠Sample Docker execution

To run the code and map all of the common ports you would use: docker run -p 8080:8080 -d jjschwarz/json2xls
