Docker Image CI

Introduction

Slack Bot to share the public IP of the device running the Docker container with this image to a Slack channel of your choice. You can use this image if, for example, you have an application running on a personal device and you'd like to access it from the outside world. To access it, you could obtain a domain, like www.mydomain.com, use a tool like NoIp.com, or use the public IP provided by your ISP. With this last option, you would just need to know the public IP given by your ISP and open the ports on your router to redirect all the traffic to a specific port to the device you want.

This image also detects if the device lost his connection to the internet, sending the IP address to Slack when it gets back online.

The Slack notification received contain the following text:

New IP assigned for HOSTNAME: 123.456.789.0

Environment variables

To make this image work, you'll need to provide some info through environment variables. Bellow you can find the env. variables available.
