josanabr/ffmpeg_extract_audio is a lightweight, multi-platform container image for extracting audio from video files and converting it to MP3 with ffmpeg.
The image is designed for a simple command-line workflow: mount a directory containing your video files as /input, mount a Docker volume or host directory for output as /audio, and pass the input video path when running the container.
ffmpegdocker run--overwrite is explicitly providedlinux/amd64linux/arm64docker container run --rm \
-v "$(pwd)":/input \
-v multimedia:/audio \
josanabr/ffmpeg_extract_audio /input/video.mp4
This command extracts the audio track from /input/video.mp4 and stores the resulting MP3 in /audio.
Because the container uses a Python-based entrypoint, you can pass arguments directly at runtime.
