Spring Boot Starter Kit - Docker Image

A pre-configured Docker image for rapid Spring Boot application development. This image is designed to provide developers with essential configurations, best practices, and a basic project structure to accelerate the setup of Spring Boot projects.

To Run in Docker:

  1. Pull the Docker image from Docker Hub:
docker pull josephrodriguez/springboot-starterkit
  1. Run the container using the pulled image:
docker run -p 8080:8080 josephrodriguez/springboot-starterkit
  1. Access your Spring Boot application at http://localhost:8080⁠

To Run in Kubernetes:

  1. Apply the Kubernetes manifest (Deployment and Service) from the GitHub repository:
kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/josephrodriguez/springboot-starterkit/main/kubernetes/springboot-starterkit.yaml
  1. Check the status of the deployment:
kubectl get pods
  1. Once the pod is ready, access your Spring Boot application using the Service:
kubectl port-forward service/springboot-starterkit 8080:8080
  1. Access your Spring Boot application at http://localhost:8080⁠
