This container is intended to install the very basics needed for a React.js dev environment.

⁠Packages Installed

  • NVM
  • Node 9.3.0
  • NPM 5.6.0
  • git
  • curl
  • wget
  • build-essential
  • software-properties-common

⁠Installation

docker pull jscharnitzke/basic-react-server docker run -it -p 3000:3000 jscharnitzke/basic-react-server bash npm start

These steps will allow you to view your React application at localhost:3000. The files pre-populated to /usr/app/basic-app/src come from the official React.js Tic-Tac-Toe tutorial⁠.
