Please meet the prerequisites before you start.

cd php-composer-node
./build.sh php82

⁠Prerequisites

Your system must be prepared for multi-architecture builds to build for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64. Install Docker-Desktop. Using docker and docker-buildx with homebrew on your host system is not able to create multi-platform images.

⁠Example Local Usage

Normally this container would be run in a CI environment, but it's also possible to use it for local development.

To run a PHP docroot on local port 8999 (http://localhost:8999⁠):

docker run \
    -d \
    --restart=always \
    -v /path/to/my/php/docroot:/var/www/html \
    -p 8999:80 \
    --name "php-composer-node" \
    schaffrath/php-composer-node:latest

Or to use it interactively:

docker run \
    -it \
    --name "php-composer-node" \
    --entrypoint /bin/bash \
    juergenvenne/php-composer-node:php82

⁠Build Commands

⁠Build the image locally from the Dockerfile:

docker build -t php-composer-node .

⁠Test the image

docker run -it juergenvenne/php-composer-node:php82 /test.sh

The images are available on Docker Hub https://hub.docker.com/r/juergenvenne/php-composer-node/tags⁠

⁠Push the image to Docker Hub

⁠Tag the image

docker tag php-composer-node-php82:latest juergenvenne/php-composer-node:php82

⁠Push the image

Please test the image intensiv before pushing.
