This project is designed to help you test your connection to a remote server by sending packets and generating a graph based on the response times. It's a useful tool for analyzing your internet performance and identifying any latency issues.
To run the application on your local machine, use the following command:
docker run -e PING_ADDRESS="google.com" -e TOTAL_PACKETS="100" -v $PWD/report:/app/report kaleabg/internet-test
PING_ADDRESS: The server or address you want to test (e.g., google.com). TOTAL_PACKETS: The number of packets to send during the test (e.g., 100). -v $PWD/report:/app/report: Mounts a local directory (report) to the container to store the generated report.
The example command sends 100 packets to google.com and generates a report based on the response time latency, allowing you to assess your internet performance.
After running the command, a report will be generated in the report directory of your local machine, visualizing the latency and overall performance of your internet connection.
