katalytic/logfwd repository overview

This image contains a simple log forwarding program written in Go. It is designed to read data from a socket in a shared volume to capture logs, and to a) simply write them to its own stdout, b) forward them to a Fluentd sink, or c) do both.

It is intended for use in a configuration with liblogtab, which can be injected into containers running legacy applications that do not write to standard output. liblogtab is capable of intercepting data written to a specific file and writing it to a defined socket—where this LogForwarder is waiting.
