⁠SQL Northwind

Extends the microsoft/mssql-server-linux container of which information (including important licence information) can be found here⁠

This is a simple extension of the microsoft/mssql-server-linux cotainer with MSSQL command line tools installed as well as implementing the Northwind database.

⁠Requirements

• This image requires Docker Engine 1.8+ in any of their supported platforms.
• At least 2GB of RAM (3.25 GB prior to 2017-CU2). Make sure to assign enough memory to the Docker VM if you're running on Docker for Mac or Windows.

⁠How to use this image

docker run -d --name <container_name> -p 1433:1433 kcornwall/sqlnorthwind

If access is needed the SA password is Passw0rd2018

⁠Supporting resources

You can download the cross-platform tool Azure Data Studio from here⁠

To log into the image when prompted for login credentials input:

Connection type -> Microsoft SQL Server Server -> localhost, SA Authentication type -> SQL Login Username -> SA Password -> Passw0rd2018

Then press connect.
