⁠Kentik Universal Agent (kagent)

The official Docker image for Kentik's Universal Agent - a powerful, extensible monitoring agent that collects network infrastructure metrics and telemetry data.

⁠What is kagent?

Kentik Universal Agent is a managed component framework that enables network observability through multiple capabilities including: • NMS monitoring via SNMP and Streaming Telemetry • Flow proxy for NetFlow/sFlow/IPFIX forwarding • SNMP trap receiver and syslog server • DNS OTT tap and connectivity testing

The agent automatically updates itself and maintains a unique cryptographic identity.

⁠Important: Persistent Storage Required

kagent requires persistent storage to maintain its identity and configuration across restarts. Do not run as an ephemeral container without mounting a persistent volume.

docker pull kentik/kagent
