You need to add your user to the docker group and re-log. Then you can xhost +, then run the follwing script, and you can run geany and firefox from within the container.

You need to start it with: #!/bin/bash PWD=pwd sudo docker run --rm -it -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -v ${PWD}/work:/home/kick/work kickinz1/snappy-dev-gui

If you want a persistent container: #!/bin/bash PWD=pwd sudo docker run --name snappy-dev -it -v /tmp/.X11-unix:/tmp/.X11-unix -v ${PWD}/work:/home/kick/work kickinz1/snappy-dev-gui

Then after creation, just issue a docker start snappy-dev
