Start the container docker run -p 6901:6901. -v 5901:5901 kishorestevens/modsimbook:base

if you want to mount a local folder into the container: docker run -v : -v 6901:6901 -v 5901:5901

Connect:

VNC password is modsimbook

No VNC: open a browser and type: localhost:6901

with VNC host is localhost:5901

The image has a user is student, pwd: student (with sudo access)

Base: Ubuntu 18.04

It has: CAD/CAM: Freecad, Calculix, Gmsh, Elmer Slic3r, Dynamical Systems: OpenModelica, Octave Discrete Event: Jaamsim (JRE downgraded to openjdk-8-jre -- as Jaamsim was having some trouble).

Window Manager is ICEWM Screen set to 1920x1080
