⁠Quick Start with Docker

⁠Using Docker Compose (Recommended)

Create a docker-compose.yml file:

Run the application:

# Start the containers
docker-compose up -d

# View logs
docker-compose logs -f

# Stop the containers
docker-compose down

Access the application at: http://localhost:8080⁠

⁠Using Docker Run

# Pull the image
docker pull kkmadhpuriya/rukovoditel:latest

# Run the container (requires existing MySQL)
docker run -d \
  -p 8080:80 \
  --name rukovoditel-app \
  kkmadhpuriya/rukovoditel:latest

Note: You'll need to configure the database connection during installation or by editing config/database.php.

⁠Installation

1. Start the containers:

   docker-compose up -d
   

   Copy

2. Access the installer: Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:8080

3. Configure database connection: During installation, use these database credentials:

   • Database Host: mysql (or mysql:3306)
   • Database Name: rukovoditel
   • Username: rukovoditel_user
   • Password: rukovoditel_password

4. Complete the setup: Follow the installation wizard to finish the initial configuration

5. Login: Use the admin credentials you created during installation

6. Security: Delete installation folder (Important!): After installation is complete, you must delete the install folder for security:

   # Access the container shell
   docker exec -it rukovoditel-app bash
   
   # Delete the installation folder
   rm -rf install/
   
   # Exit the container
   exit
   

   Copy

   Or use a one-liner:

   docker exec -it rukovoditel-app rm -rf install/
   

   Copy

⁠Configuration

⁠Database Setup

For the Docker Compose setup, the database credentials are:

• Host: mysql (container name) or mysql:3306
• Database: rukovoditel
• Username: rukovoditel_user
• Password: rukovoditel_password
• Port: 3306

These can be configured in config/database.php after installation if needed.

⁠Environment Variables

The following environment variables can be configured in your docker-compose.yml:

⁠SERVER_NAME

Sets the Apache ServerName directive to prevent Apache warnings about not being able to determine the server's fully qualified domain name.

• Default: localhost

• Usage:

  services:
    app:
      environment:
        - SERVER_NAME=yourdomain.com # Set your domain
        # or
        - SERVER_NAME=localhost # Use localhost (default)

Note: If you're running this on a production server with a domain name, set this to your domain (e.g., example.com or www.example.com) to eliminate Apache startup warnings.

⁠ENABLE_SSL

Controls whether the application uses SSL/HTTPS connections.

• Default: false

• Accepted values: true, false, 1, 0, yes, no, on, off

• Usage:

  services:
    app:
      environment:
        - ENABLE_SSL=true # Enable SSL
        # or
        - ENABLE_SSL=false # Disable SSL (default)
  

  Copy

Note: If not set, defaults to false. This setting configures the secure webserver option in config/server.php.

⁠Building from Source

If you want to build the Docker image yourself:

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/kkmadhpuriya/rukovoditel.git
cd rukovoditel

# Build the image
docker build -t rukovoditel:latest .

# Or build for multiple platforms
docker buildx build \
  --platform linux/amd64,linux/arm64,linux/arm/v7 \
  -t kkmadhpuriya/rukovoditel:latest \
  --push \
  .
