⁠aws-base-deploy

Thin Alpine-based CI image for the deploy stage of GitLab/CI pipelines. Ships ssh + aws prebaked so deploy jobs never run a package manager at runtime.

⁠Contents

• openssh-client — ssh / scp / ssh-agent / ssh-add (deploy over SSH)
• aws-cli v2 — resolve target EC2 instances, ECR login
• curl, bash

⁠Why

Generic cloud-deploy base images often need apt at runtime to add openssh-client, which is unreliable on locked-down runners (blocked outbound port 80, flaky Ubuntu mirrors). This image installs ssh + aws at build time from Alpine's CDN instead.

⁠Tags

• latest — floating latest build
• YYYY-MM-DD — immutable dated build (pin this in CI for reproducible deploys)
