Companion database image for Kryspal Media server: PostgreSQL 16 + pg_bigm. Not for standalone use.
537
This is the database image that goes with Kryspal Media. It is PostgreSQL 16 with the pg_bigm extension for fast text search.
It is not meant to be used on its own. It is built for Kryspal Media, and the Compose file of the server image starts it for you. Get the Compose file, setup steps, ports and backup notes from the server page: kryspal/kryspalmedia.
pg_bigm extension is installed and can be created by the application's database role, which has no superuser rights.POSTGRES_PASSWORD is set, it generates a random password and stores it in a volume that the server container reads. You do not set or see a password.Run it through the Compose file of the server image. It keeps its data in the named volume pgdata; back that volume up, together with the other two volumes of the Compose file, before you upgrade. See Upgrade and back up.
If you want to use your own PostgreSQL instead, you need PostgreSQL 16 or newer with pg_bigm installed; see the install guide.
linux/amd64 and linux/arm64.
