lacounty/regex repository overview

This is a simple CentOS SSH⁠ image used for experimenting with grep, sed, and awk as described in the Regular Expression Workshop⁠. You can run this image in the following way.

docker run --name my_regex -d -p 22 lacounty/regex:1.0

It will map port 22 of the container to an arbitrary port. You can determine what this port is using docker ps. If the image is on your machine, you can directly connect through docker exec. But it's better to connect non-root through SSH with

ssh -p <port> user@<ip address>

The new user password is newpass. Change it upon login. The samples folder in the user home directory contains a few files referenced in the workshop presentations.
