ldclakmal/envoy repository overview

Envoy Proxy Service

A Docker image of simple Envoy proxy service which forward the request to configured backend and forward the response to the client. Supports only HTTP/1.1.

Run the image
$  docker run -d --network="host" --name envoy -p 9901:9901 -p 9090:9090 ldclakmal/envoy:latest
  • The first port mapping is for the admin access panel.
  • The second port mapping is for the listener port of the proxy service.

Test the image
$ curl -v http://localhost:9090

(Since this is a proxy, there should be a backend HTTP service already started on port 9191 with request path /. i.e. $ curl -v http://localhost:9191 should be up and running)
