Docker images based on alpine with Microsoft Cpprestsdk (Casablanca). You can install cpprestsdk as standard packages on debian/ubuntu. But in order to trim down the image sizes I prefer to use alpine when possible. I built these images for my own usage, but I'll share them for everybody else that would like to use this approach.
There are two docker images available. The intention is that you build your app using the :build tag, then copy over the artifacts to an image based on the :runtime image. See multi stage builds with docker.
Example Dockerfile:
FROM leakingmemory/alpine-casablanca:build AS myapp-build
RUN apk add cmake ninja g++
COPY . /build
RUN mkdir /build/build
WORKDIR /build/build
RUN cmake -G Ninja .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
RUN ninja
RUN ninja install
FROM leakingmemory/alpine-casablanca:runtime
COPY --from=myapp-build /usr/local/bin/myapp /usr/local/bin/myapp
ENTRYPOINT [ "/usr/local/bin/myapp" ]
CMD [ "/usr/local/bin/myapp" ]
