Run the Spring Boot RESTful Web Services Starter Project⁠ in your Docker environment.

⁠Using the Container

⁠Run

Download the latest image from DockerHub.

docker image pull leanstacks/skeleton-ws-spring-boot:latest

To run the container as a foreground process, printing the logs to the console issue the following command:

docker container run --rm -p 8080:8080 leanstacks/skeleton-ws-spring-boot:latest

OR

docker container run \
  --rm \
  --publish 8080:8080 \
  leanstacks/skeleton-ws-spring-boot:latest

To run the image in the background issue the following command:

docker container run -d -p 8080:8080 leanstacks/skeleton-ws-spring-boot:latest

OR

docker container run \
  --detach \
  --publish 8080:8080 \
  leanstacks/skeleton-ws-spring-boot:latest

Open your browser and go to http://localhost:8080/actuators/health⁠ to check the health of the web services docker container.
