⁠Bitcoind as a docker container

Important: The bitcoind in the container does not use a bitcoin.conf from the linked volume! It only respects environment variables set through docker.

⁠Volumes

Mount /bitcoin from the container somewhere in your host to achieve persistence of the blockchain data. Even if present bitcoin.conf will not be used from the volume but newly generated!

docker run -e RPC_USER=john -e RPC_PASSWORD=silver -v /opt/bitcoin:/bitcoin levino/bitcoind
