⁠Modifications

This image is based on bepasty as released with the following modifications:

• publish web app at /pasty instead of / (start.sh, bepasty.conf)
• hide password field and login button --> bepasty always runs with default permissions (_layout.html)
• default upload lifetime changed to one day instead of one month (index.html)
• reduced thumbnail size to limit row height in list view (download.py)

⁠Usage

⁠Run the image

docker run -d --restart=always --name bepasty -p 5000:5000 -v /srv/bepasty:/srv/bepasty lhaeger/bepasty

After first startup adjust the config file located in /srv/bepasty/bepasty.conf to your needs and restart the container.

docker restart bepasty

⁠Access bepasty

Open http://127.0.0.1:5000/pasty⁠ in your browser

⁠Stop the server

docker stop bepasty

⁠Start the server

With the --restart=always option the server should be started automatically.

If you stopped it you can start it again by running

docker start bepasty

⁠Updating

To update you need to stop and delete the container (data is stored on the host in /srv/bepasty/storage, so it shouldn't be lost), then fetch the new image and recreate the container:

docker stop bepasty
docker rm bepasty
docker pull lhaeger/bepasty
docker run -d --restart=always --name bepasty -p 5000:5000 -v /srv/bepasty:/srv/bepasty lhaeger/bepasty

⁠Login shell

docker exec -it bepasty bash
