⁠LODMAP2D

LODMAP2D is a data driven web application to explore detailed information without loosing the big picture see overview⁠.

LODMAP2D uses the SOLID specifications and the Semantic Web standards to ensure an high level of security and privacy. Data can be centralized in a Knowledge Graph or distributed as Linked Data. LODMAP2D can be easily customized to match a specific data domain. See for example the Italian Budget⁠ produced by the g0v.it team⁠ and published by the Copernicani Association⁠

⁠Connecting to a custom data source

You can connect LODMAP2D to a dataset assigning the environment variable LODMAP2D_DATA to a remote file or to a remote api endpoint:

docker run -d -e LODMAP2D_DATA=http://localhost:8080/data.ttl  --name lodmap2d -p 8080:80 linkeddatacenter/lodmap2d

Or run it using a LODMAP2D-api⁠ compatible endpoint

docker run -d -e LODMAP2D_DATA="https://bgo.example.org/"  --name lodmap2d -p 8080:80 linkeddatacenter/lodmap2d

If the http(s) resource pointed by the LODMAP2D_DATA variable ends with a /, it is supposed to be a LODMAP2D-api endpoint; else it is supposed to be a RDF resource.

WARNING: if you connect LODMAP2D to a cross-origin data source, CORS restrictions apply

⁠Customize app title, description and add tracking snippets

Besides LODMAP2D_DATA, the Docker loadmap2d image manages some other environment variables for SEO:

• LODMAP2D_LANG: allows to change the default HTML page default LANG type (default: en)
• LODMAP2D_TITLE: allows to change the title of the application (default: LODMAP2D application)
• LODMAP2D_DESCRIPTION: allows changing the og:description property
• LODMAP2D_MATOMO_ID: add a MATOMO tracking snipped to LODMAP2D_MATOMO_URL (default https://matomo.app.copernicani.it/⁠)
• LODMAP2D_GA_UA: add a Google Analytics tracking snipped for your Google Analytics UA

By default, no tracking code is enabled.

limitations:

• LODMAP2A is a Single Page Application. Tracking is limited to the initial page loading (i.e. no tracking of internal routes).
• you can't use the ^ character in variables
