The Evon Hub server is distributed as an AWS AMI. Once deployed, it is reachable at `.evon.link`. Connected servers and users can communicate with each other based on policy. Each connected server is reachable via DNS, resolving to private addresses at `..evon.link`, using IPv4 routing. Evon Hub provides a Web UI, REST API, DevOps friendly CLI tools for automated deployment and provisioning, HTTP proxy support. Visit https://linuxdojo.com/evon for more info.\n\n## Usage\n\nTo deploy:\n\n```\ndocker pull linuxdojo/evon-bootstrap:latest\n```\n\nUse the below commands to start a bootstrap container and connect your server to your Evon Hub overlay network.\n\n### Mandatory Environment Variables\n\nYou must define env vars `ACCOUNT_DOMAIN` and `EVON_DEPLOY_KEY` in the invocation below, where:\n\n* `ACCOUNT_DOMAIN` is the FQDN used to reach your Evon Hub, eg `mybiz.evon.link`\n* `EVON_DEPLOY_KEY` is the API key for the `deployer` user, or any superuser.\n\n### Optional Environment Variables\n\nYou may also provide the following optional env vars:\n\n* `EVON_HOSTNAME` - will cause this system to be registered as `.mybiz.evon.link`. If omitted, HOSTNAME will become the output of the `uname -n` command inside the Docker container.\n* `EVON_UUID` - a UUID version 4 string (as outputted by the `uuidgen` command on Linux), and maps to a static IPv4 address on the overlay network. For never seen before UUID's, a new IPv4 address will be permanently assigned to the new UUID. If this env var is omitted, a new UUID will be auto-generated each time the Docker container is run.\n* `EXTRA_ARGS` - any extra arguments you may wish to provide to the `boostrap.sh` installer that is executed inside the container, eg `--extra-config `. Note that `` in this example must be local within the container, therefore either the `--volume` or `--mount` Docker run options should be used to inject `` into the container at runtime. Refer to the [Docker docs](https://docs.docker.com/engine/reference/commandline/run/#add-bind-mounts-or-volumes-using-the---mount-flag) for more info. Download and run `bootstrap.sh` from your Evon Hub with the `--help` option for info about the `--extra-config` and other options available.\n\n```\ndocker run \\\n -it \\\n -d \\\n --restart unless-stopped \\\n -e ACCOUNT_DOMAIN= \\\n -e EVON_DEPLOY_KEY= \\\n -e EVON_HOSTNAME= \\\n -e EVON_UUID= \\\n --cap-add=net_admin \\\n --device=/dev/net/tun \\\n --net=host \\\n linuxdojo/evon-bootstrap\n```\n\n### Running in the Foreground\n\nRemove the `-d` option from the `docker run` command to run the container in the foreground. For more info, see https://docs.docker.com/engine/reference/run/#detached--d\n\n### Restarting Automatically\n\nThe `--restart unless-stopped` option to the `docker run` command will restart the container automatically when it exits, or when Docker restarts. Remove this option to suppress automatic restart. For more info, see https://docs.docker.com/config/containers/start-containers-automatically/\n\n## Source\n\nhttps://github.com/linuxdojo/evon-boostrap-docker\n","has_starred","hub_user","gmurdocca","immutable_tags_settings",{"_77":11,"_78":79},"enabled","rules",[80],".*","is_automated","permissions",{"_84":22,"_85":11,"_86":11},"read","write","admin","user","storage_size",16089846,"orgData",{"_92":93,"_94":95,"_96":97,"_98":34,"_99":100,"_101":102,"_103":100,"_104":105,"_106":107,"_108":109,"_110":111,"_112":111,"_113":22},"id","c42c453da3d544f9924a102b3844c348","uuid","c42c453d-a3d5-44f9-924a-102b3844c348","type","organization","orgname","full_name","LinuxDojo","location","Sydney, Australia","company","profile_url","https://www.linuxdojo.com","date_joined","2022-08-21T00:38:17.004665Z","gravatar_url","https://www.gravatar.com/avatar/be21498f618b36b7f1a235929f13b101?s=80&r=g&d=mm","gravatar_email","","badge","is_active","recentTags",[116],{"_117":45,"_118":119,"_120":121,"_122":123,"_92":124,"_125":126,"_51":141,"_142":119,"_143":74,"_144":57,"_58":145,"_146":147,"_148":132,"_149":141,"_150":67,"_151":22},"content_type","creator",980045,"digest","sha256:0c51765a819e33ffbe93f54b89278f39bc38521eb3649618810dba2a7b2209fe","full_size",9648854,275559565,"images",[127],{"_128":129,"_120":121,"_130":111,"_131":132,"_133":134,"_135":136,"_137":111,"_138":-5,"_139":123,"_64":67,"_140":-5},"architecture","amd64","features","last_pulled","2026-10-19T23:28:41.258024659Z","last_pushed","2022-10-30T04:45:45Z","os","linux","os_features","os_version","size","variant","2022-10-30T04:45:45.059049Z","last_updater","last_updater_username","media_type","latest","repository",17873234,"tag_last_pulled","tag_last_pushed","tag_status","v2","sbxKitMetadata","isPotentialSpam","isHubSbxKitsEnabled","showSbxRunInCloud","showSbxLogoOverride","sbxTrademarkText","displaySecurityMetadata","tagAttestations","tagsHaveAttestations",[],"selectedTag","attestationsUrl","routes/_layout.r.$namespace.$reponame.tags",{"_39":166,"_173":174,"_160":183,"_184":11},{"_41":167,"_43":168,"_46":47,"_48":49,"_50":11,"_51":52,"_53":54,"_55":169,"_58":36,"_33":34,"_59":60,"_61":45,"_62":63,"_64":65,"_66":67,"_68":-5,"_69":63,"_70":71,"_72":11,"_73":74,"_75":170,"_81":11,"_82":172,"_87":34,"_88":89},[],[45],[57],{"_77":11,"_78":171},[80],{"_84":22,"_85":11,"_86":11},"tags",{"_175":65,"_176":-5,"_177":-5,"_178":179},"count","next","previous","results",[180],{"_117":45,"_118":119,"_120":121,"_122":123,"_92":124,"_125":181,"_51":141,"_142":119,"_143":74,"_144":57,"_58":145,"_146":147,"_148":132,"_149":141,"_150":67,"_151":22},[182],{"_128":129,"_120":121,"_130":111,"_131":132,"_133":134,"_135":136,"_137":111,"_138":-5,"_139":123,"_64":67,"_140":-5},[],"canDeleteTags","actionData","errors"]
