⁠Etherpad with OpenID Connect client, Whiteboard, Abiword and other plugins

⁠Steps to create the image:

⁠Clone the repository:

mkdir /usr/local/docker-etherpad

cd /usr/local/docker-etherpad

git clone https://github.com/ether/etherpad-lite⁠ .

⁠Add a configuration block for the OIDC client to 'settings.json.docker', to be used when adding Etherpad to a Docker Compose stack:

⁠Enable abiword through configuration:

Because we build an Etherpad image containing Abiword, the full path to the abiword binary needs to be configured in 'settings.json.docker'. Change:

"abiword": "${ABIWORD:null}",

to

"abiword": "${ABIWORD:/usr/bin/abiword}",

⁠Add configuration for WBO whiteboard:

⁠Build the image:

docker build \
  --build-arg ETHERPAD_PLUGINS="ep_openid_connect ep_whiteboard ep_author_neat ep_headings2 ep_markdown ep_comments_page ep_align ep_font_color ep_webrtc ep_embedded_hyperlinks2" \
  --build-arg INSTALL_ABIWORD="yes" \
  --tag liveslak/etherpad .

⁠Tag and push the image

docker tag liveslak/etherpad liveslak/etherpad:1.8.16

docker push liveslak/etherpad:1.8.16

docker push liveslak/etherpad:latest
