⁠What is Locations-service?

Locations service is a web service that returns information about places (like Countries and their administrative divisions including state/provinces in a country, districts/county in state, taluks in a district and cities.

⁠How to use the image

⁠Start a locations-service using docker run:

docker run --net=host -e MYSQL_LOGI_HOST="jdbc:mariadb://mysqldb:3306/logistimo?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8" -e MYSQL_LOC_HOST="jdbc:mariadb://mysqldb:3306/locations?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=UTF-8"--name locations-service -d logistimo/locations-service:latest

⁠Container shell access and viewing Location-service logs

The docker exec command allows you to run commands inside a Docker container. The following command line will give you a bash shell inside your locations-service container:

$ docker exec -it locations-service /bin/bash

The locations-service logs can be seen using the following command

$ docker logs -f locations-service
