⁠Bugs / Issues

I have not fixed these bugs. I will update here after/if I fix it.

1. The eoskeeper python script looks for an class 'B' ipaddress on the container, in the command lsof -nP -p nodeoes_pid . This is line# 199 of the eoskeeper.py and also line #202 ;

"if re.match(r'.TCP 172.', line): "

If you use a overlay network like K8s, the ipaddress is less likely to be 172.x.x.x. So make changes as per requirements or the "Number of Links" metric is always zero/0.

(2) Eoskeeper does not autostart. I am still working on making supervisor or the entrypoint or cmd work for both nodeos and eoskeeper. Workaround is to install screen and start eoskeeper inside screen in the pod.

⁠Container ENV vars to configure eoskeeper at runtime

Following variables are exposed. Configure their values at runtime by using --env with docker client or with K8s "env" spec for the image

⁠Dependencies

• eoskeeper pushes timeseries data to $INFLUXDB_URL
• Install influxdb or use SaaS for influxdb
• Use Grafana to visualize the block-height and peer-to-peer connections
• Configure notifications in grafana to alert via pagerduty or slack etc.
