Based on the patch from SergeyParamoshkin (https://github.com/jupyter/tmpnb/issues/226⁠). However, I removed the "base_path" concatenation to allow installing a read-only volume in a fixed position (my use was to provide a dataset volume). To allow the backup of user files we should add a second read-only volume, but without the base_path there can be conflicts. A less elegant solution would be keeping the --home-directory with base_path and adding a second parameter like "--data-directories" just for "fixed" directories.
