This Windows image is intended to be used for remote development with vscode. Latest version vscode-server, PowerShell, git and openSSH are preinstalled

⁠Usage

docker run -d -p 2222:22 emrysmacinally/winpwshdevcontainer:ltsc2019

⁠Mapping local git repo into the container

-v C:/GIT/myrepo:C:/users/sshuser/workspace

⁠Optional Env

Git can be preconfigured with optional environment variables

GITUSERNAME=username

GITUSEREMAIL=[email protected]⁠

GITHUBUSER=githubuser

⁠Connecting via vscode

Connect vscode by using the Remote-SSH feature. Use SSHUSER without a password to connect to the container. E.g. ssh -p 2222 sshuser@localhost
