The easiest way to get this contained running is to use docker-compose up -d

Run the following:

docker pull madgoat/minecraft

Create a docker-compose.yml file with the following lines :

 minecraft:
    image: madgoat/minecraft
    ports:
      - "25565:25565"
    net: "host"
    container_name: minecraft
    volumes:
      - <location to store minecraft data files>:/data
    restart: always
