A quick and simple service for getting pictures for use as placeholders in your designs or code. Just put your image size (width & height) after our URL and you'll get a placeholder.

Use any images you like, but make sure to respect copyrights.

docker run -p 8080:8080 -v ./image-collection-directory:/app/images madr23/placeany

Then use the service like this: http://localhost:8080/200/300⁠
or like this: http://localhost:8080/g/200/300⁠

For the fun, a bookmarklet is also available to replace all images in-place on any website.

Considerations:

• Use 10-20 high resolution images for best experience.
• A reverse proxy is recommended, examples: Caddy, nginx+certbot
