⁠Workshop bundle

This reactor creates the webapp and docker container used for Magnolia Workshop. It inherits from magnolia-dx-core-webapp and should rely on as little customizations as possible:

• There should not be any customizations underneath magnolia-trials-webapp/src/main/webapp directory.
  • This implies no custom magnolia.properties files nor web.xml adaptations.
• properties should be directly passed to the JVM using jvm options, like -Dmagnolia.home=/opt/magnolia

⁠Magnolia properties

-Dmagnolia.home=/opt/magnolia -Dmagnolia.update.auto=true -Dmagnolia.bootstrap.authorInstance=true

⁠magnolia.home

Several directories will be created underneath here. Holds all persistent data between restarts. Also the H2 database.

⁠magnolia.resources.dir

(optional) The home of light-development modules. This defaults to the modules folder underneath magnolia.home

⁠magnolia.update.auto

Will automatically run installation and update task if needed.

⁠magnolia.bootstrap.authorInstance

This is only relevant during installation. Afterwards the fact that this is an author instance will be persisted in the DB:

• In JCR (Configuration App) under /server/admin=true
• On a per module basis this will also affect several install tasks.
