⁠LocalToolbox

A local, browser-based toolbox for everyday PDF, developer and image tasks.

Everything runs 100% in your browser — files and text are processed in-memory inside the tab. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is written to disk, and the container only serves the static app; it never sees your data. Works fully offline.

⁠Quick start

⁠docker run

# Pin an exact version (recommended for production)
docker run -d -p 49174:80 majdalkayyal/localtoolbox:1.0.2

# Always the newest

The container listens on port 80; map it to any host port you like (-p 3000:80, etc.).

⁠Tags & platforms

• Every release is published with its version tag (1.0.2) and latest.
• Pin an exact version in production so upgrades are deliberate.
• Images are multi-arch — linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 — so the same tag runs on Intel/cloud servers and Apple Silicon.

⁠What's inside

A React + Vite single-page app, built and served as static files by nginx (alpine-slim). Tools are grouped by category in the sidebar.

⁠📄 PDF Tools

Split (interactive cut points), PDF Viewer, Merge / Images → PDF, Reorder / Delete Pages, Rotate Pages, Extract Pages, PDF → Images.

⁠🛠️ Developer Tools

JSON Formatter, HTML Viewer / Formatter, Hash Generator (CRC32/MD5/SHA/HMAC), Encode / Decode (Base64/32/58, Hex, URL), JWT Decoder, UUID / ULID Generator, Timestamp Converter, Text Diff, Regex Tester, Cron Explainer, Case Converter, Lorem Ipsum, YAML ↔ JSON, CSV ↔ JSON, Password Generator.

⁠🖼️ Image Tools

Resize, Convert (PNG/JPG/WebP), Compress, Image → Data URI. Image tools run entirely on a <canvas>, which also strips embedded metadata (EXIF/GPS) from the output.

⁠Why local-only?

• Private by design — your files never leave the browser tab. Close it and the data is gone.
• Offline — no network calls needed once the page loads.
• Lightweight — a static nginx image; no database, no backend, no telemetry.
