This Docker image provides a ready-to-use Android Studio environment based on the x11vnc/docker-desktop image. It includes Android Studio pre-installed along with a desktop shortcut for easy access. The container uses VNC and NoVNC for remote desktop access, allowing you to interact with Android Studio through a web browser or VNC client.
To pull the image from Docker Hub, use the following command:
docker pull yourusername/android-studio-vnc
To start the container and expose the necessary ports:
docker run -d -p 5900:5900 -p 6080:6080 yourusername/android-studio-vnc
After running this command, the container will start, and you will be provided with a URL to access the graphical interface via NoVNC.
Once the container is running, you can access the Android Studio environment in two ways:
Via Web Browser (NoVNC):
Open your web browser and navigate to the URL provided when the container starts (e.g., http://localhost:6080). This will allow you to interact with the Android Studio interface directly from your browser.
Via VNC Client:
Use a VNC client to connect to localhost:5900 to access the Android Studio environment.
Once you're connected to the desktop environment via NoVNC or VNC, you will find an Android Studio shortcut on the desktop. Double-click the shortcut to launch Android Studio.
noninteractive to avoid prompts during package installations. To run the container and access Android Studio via NoVNC:
docker run -d -p 5900:5900 -p 6080:6080 yourusername/android-studio-vnc
Then open your browser and go to http://localhost:6080 to start using Android Studio.
