mapostolides/mageck-vispr-test repository overview

These are instructions to run a VISPR test server inside a docker container, and access the server from an internet browser on your local machine.

  1. Pull docker image from docker repository:

$ docker pull mapostolides/mageck-vispr-test -this file is ~3GB, since it is a container with miniconda3 and MAGeCK-VISPR installed

  1. Run docker container in interactive mode, with appropriate port mapping

$ docker run -p 8888:5000 -it mapostolides/mageck-vispr-test

  1. Once container is running:

$ source activate mageck-vispr

$ vispr test --host 0.0.0.0 --port 5000

  • specifying host ensures that the localhost of container is exposed

$ vispr server results/*.vispr.yaml --host 0.0.0.0 --port 5000

  1. On local machine, enter localhost:8888 in Chrome or Firefox to view the VISPR test server that is running inside the docker container.
