markpriddy/artemis-rigbook repository overview

Container running the Engineer’s Rigbook for the Artemis Starship Bridge Simulator.

Known to Work With

  • Artemis 2.4 -Artemis 2.7

Basic Usage

Create a Docker compose file and specify this image.

Download the engineeringSettings.dat file with the big green button. Install in Artemis and be an awesome engineer.

Detailed Usage

These examples assume you're using a reverse proxy like jwilder/nginx-proxy. If you're not, please adjust accordingly.

Without Custom Rigbooks

docker-compose.yml:

version: "3"

services:
  website:
    container_name: artemis-rigbook
    environment:
      VIRTUAL_HOST: artemis-rigbook.localhost
    image: markpriddy/artemis-rigbook
    network_mode: bridge
    restart: unless-stopped
    tty: true
    volumes:
      - ./custom/:/var/www/html/data/custom/
      # - ./nginx-cache.conf:/etc/nginx/conf.d/nginx-cache.conf
  1. Create a project folder with the file docker-compose.yml above
  2. In your terminal, cd into your project folder and: docker-compose up -d

With Custom Rigbooks

If you're going to use custom rigbooks, you'll also want to turn off Nginx caching while you're developing. The conf file below is referenced in the second volume entry in the YML above. Uncomment it if you want to do quick iterations in your rigbook JSON files.

nginx-cache.conf:

###
# Caching Settings
###

# Disable for local
# open_file_cache            max=2000 inactive=20s;
# open_file_cache_valid      60s;
# open_file_cache_min_uses   2;
# open_file_cache_errors     off;

custom/_rigbooks.json:
