markusg/purepython repository overview

The purpose of this container is to be used for automating tasks on Pure Storage FlashArrays and Pure1 using the Pure python toolkit which leverages the Pure REST API. The toolkits for FlashArray (Purity//FA), Flashblade (Purity//FB) and Pure1 are included The image is based on the python:alpine base image and contains the latest Pure python toolkits.

The easiest way is to map a local directory on your host to your container and start a bash shell e.g. markus@linuxhost:~$ docker run -i -t -v /home/markus/PureStorage/python:/purepython markusg/purepython sh to execute your pyhthon scripts.

Dockerfile:

⁠Use an official Python runtime as a base image

FROM python:alpine

RUN apk update && apk upgrade RUN apk add --no-cache python-dev libffi-dev make gcc musl-dev openssl-dev zlib-dev libssl1.0

⁠Set the working directory to /purestorage

WORKDIR /purestorage

⁠Copy the current directory contents into the container at /purestorage

ADD . /purestorage

⁠Install any needed packages specified in requirements.txt

RUN pip install --upgrade pip RUN pip install -r requirements.txt --upgrade
