mdpiper/jupyter-notebook-example repository overview

An example of running a Jupyter Notebook from a Docker container, based on material from https://github.com/austinbrian/jupydocker⁠.

Pull the image from Docker Hub with:

docker pull mdpiper/jupyter-notebook-example

Launch a container from the image with:

docker run --publish 8899:8888 --rm mdpiper/jupyter-notebook-example

You can safely ignore the terminal output from this command. Open http://localhost:8899⁠ in a web browser and enter the token +csdms+ when prompted. Select the shell-commands.ipynb notebook and run it.

To finish, hit Ctrl-C in the terminal where the container is running.
