⁠What is ManageEngine AnalyticsPlus?

ManageEngine AnalyticsPlus is a business intelligence and analytics software from Zoho Corporation. The application allows you to create visually appealing data visualizations and insightful dashboards in minutes. Run an automatic analysis of data from a variety of sources such as,

1. Cloud databases
   Amazon RDS (Live Connect), Amazon Redshift (Live Connect), Microsoft Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL, Heroku PostgreSQL etc.
   

2. Local/on-prem databases
   MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB etc.
   

3. Spreadsheets
   CSV, TSV, Excel files, and other spreadsheet formats.
   

4. Cloud Storage
   Google Drive, One Drive, DropBox, and Box.
   

5. Popular Business Apps
   Servicenow, Zendesk, JIRA Software, etc., with pre-built domain-specific reports.
   

6. Supported Manage Engine Applications
   Servicedesk, OPManager,APManager,PAM360,DesktopCentral,MDM,SCP with pre-built domain-specific reports.
   

⁠Prerequisites

Before you start the docker container, create a directory on your server to store periodic backups of ManageEngine AnalyticsPlus. This will prevent data loss when the container is killed intermittently. In the following example, the backup directory is C:\ManageEngine\MyBackup.

To start your docker container, run the following command.

docker run -d -p 8443:8443 --platform=linux/amd64 -v C:\ManageEngine\MyBackup:/home/aplus/ManageEngine/AnalyticsPlus/Backup --name=aplus meanalyticsplus/onprem:latest

In addition to starting the docker, this command does the following actions:

1. Maps the ports 8443 of the docker container and the host server.
2. Links the ManageEngine AnalyticsPlus backup folder to the folder C:\ManageEngine\MyBackup on the host server.

⁠Start and stop procedure

Change directory to /home/aplus/ManageEngine/AnalyticsPlus/bin and use the following command to start the application

nohup sh app_ctl.sh run &

and, execute the command disown to remove jobs from the job table of the parent shell

disown

Use the following command from the /home/aplus/ManageEngine/AnalyticsPlus/bin directory to stop the application

sh app_ctl.sh shutdown

⁠Application access

Once the application has started, you can access the application from a web-browser using the following URL/web address.

https://server IP address:8443 (replace server IP address with the IP address of the host server)
