meuleman/rust repository overview

This container uses steamcmd to download or update a rust server into the mounted /data volume. Once it has completed downloading it will start the server by calling the rustds.sh script.

Before starting create the data directory to avoid it being owned by root.

mkdir data

To modify the rust settings or install mods:

1. kill the container
2. modify the data in the (un)mounted volume/steamuser directory.

docker run -d --restart unless-stopped \
        --name rust \
        --network host \
        -v `pwd`/data:/data \
                meuleman/rust

To skip the update step, the container can be started with the start command:

docker run -d --restart unless-stopped \
        --name rust \
        --network host \
        -v `pwd`/data:/data \
                meuleman/rust start
